Fara graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, USA in 1999 with Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Administration and Spanish. She went on to receive her Master’s in Business Administration, MBA, in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona, USA in December 2000. Following her studies, Fara went to work for Daymon, a marketing and consultancy for private brands, working with retail client H.E.B. In 2005, Fara was expatriated to Lisbon, Portugal to help start up Daymon’s operations with retail client Jerónimo Martins. She transitioned in 2009 to Daymon’s Europe Resource Center, supporting retail account teams in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America. Throughout her nearly 20-year tenure working with retailers and FMCGs, Fara’s responsibilities included supply chain, global sourcing, brand development, marketing and communications. Fara currently works in public relations and communications for ignitia, a tropical weather forecasting company. Since 2020, Fara has been teaching courses in the Global Marketing bachelor’s and master’s programs at IPAM.
