The educational, cultural, and scientific project of the Instituto Português de Administração de Marketing (IPAM) responds to the growing needs of society, aiming to be a national and international reference and the first choice for students and employers. The goal is to develop scientific and entrepreneurial spirit, encourage research and investigation, and expand the understanding of humanity and the environment in which it is integrated. It also aims to stimulate knowledge of the issues of today's world, promote and value multiculturalism and social responsibility, and prepare graduates for professional insertion and participation in societal development.
The adopted model is grounded in the acquisition of systemic, conceptual, and instrumental competencies, simulation, tutoring, collaborative learning, and behavioral skills. Particular importance is also given to the use of technology in two dimensions: as a teaching tool that enhances and facilitates the development of competencies, and as a scientific and technical component of some curricular units. Likewise, extracurricular activities—such as broadcasting conferences and lectures with international personalities, organizing conferences with individuals of recognized merit, and defining an intense cultural agenda—hold a prominent place in the academic life at IPAM.
