In the year it celebrates its 40th anniversary, IPAM has organized two round tables to share the stories of teachers, collaborators and students who have lived unforgettable moments at the country's first marketing school.

On November 5, IPAM Porto's auditorium hosted the event “40 years in 4 voices”, which was opened by the director, Daniel Sá. The sharing of stories was moderated by Fernando Santos, academic director, and was attended by a teacher, a collaborator, a student and an alumna.

The lecturer was Francisco Coelho. Professor and director of the Global Degree in Marketing, he was an IPAM Porto student and told us how happy he feels about his 34-year relationship with the institution.

Catarina Sampaio, who has been at IPAM Porto for 8 years, is currently the Academic Services coordinator and said that she felt it was important to be close to the students, to listen to their concerns and to be able to help overcome obstacles.

Representing the students was Tomás Gata. The young man is in his second year of a degree in Marketing Management and believes he made the best choice when he decided to study at IPAM Porto. Every day, he is the first to arrive on campus and sometimes the door is still closed.

Madalena Dinis studied for a degree in Marketing Management (after work) and a Master's degree in Digital Marketing. She is currently Director of Marketing, Communication and Sales Support at Visit Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau and also a lecturer at IPAM Porto.

On November 6, Marta Bicho opened the event “40 years in 4 voices” at the Quinta do Bom Nome auditorium in Lisbon. Luís Schwab, a professor at IPAM Lisbon, was the moderator of a pleasant conversation with various protagonists.

João Barbosa has been teaching at IPAM Lisboa for 29 years and, throughout his professional career, has taken on challenges such as Marketing and International Relations at the INATEL Foundation and Marketing Manager at the European Spas Association. He is currently General Director of the Portuguese Spa Association.

Representing the IPAM Lisboa team was Liliana Rosalino. The coordinator of the International Office has worked with the institution since 2012 and is also responsible for the same department at IPAM Porto and the European University.

Vítor Pinto told us what it's like to be a student on the Marketing Management degree course after having already been working there for a few years. He is also a Project Manager in the Telecom & Utilities | Core Networks area at Axians Portugal.

The alumna invited to “40 years in 4 voices” was Alexandra Francisco. The 26-year-old finished her Master's in Marketing Management two years ago and couldn't be happier with the choice she made when she decided to study at IPAM Lisbon. She currently works at Santander in the Customer Care area.

The two round tables “40 years in 4 voices” are part of a series of initiatives celebrating IPAM's 40th anniversary. On November 4, the Portuguese Institute of Administration and Marketing held an event with various professionals from the Marketing and Businessareas , at which it presented the Marketing Manifesto. An essential tool for all those who want to belong to the world of Marketing and Business in the future.
