IPAM hosts III Interim Meeting of Student Ombudsmen
On February 7, 2025, IPAM, in partnership with the European University and IADE, will host the III Interim Meeting of Student Ombudsmen.
The event, organized by the Portuguese Network of Higher Education Student Ombudsmen, will take place in the Auditorium of the Quinta do Bom Nome Campus, starting at 9.30am.
The main conference, entitled “Promoting academic success and combating dropout in Higher Education: the role of Student Ombudsmen”, will bring together important figures from the education sector. Confirmed speakers include Joaquim Mourato, Director General of DGES, António Fontaínhas Fernandes, President of CNAES, and representatives from institutions such as AIMA and the National Council for Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education.
The program will include plenary sessions, working tables and cultural moments, such as a performance by the Tuna da Universidade Europeia (TUE). The debates will focus on strategies to foster academic success and combat school drop-outs in higher education, highlighting the essential role of student ombudsmen, association leaders, teachers and non-teaching staff.
With this event, IPAM reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to excellence and innovation in higher education in Portugal, promoting initiatives that improve the academic experience of students.
