Cristiano Ronaldo brand reaches record 850€ million, reveals IPAM
IPAM - Instituto Português de Administração e Marketing (Portuguese Institute of Administration and Marketing) has presented a detailed study that values the Cristiano Ronaldo brand in 2025 and reveals a record value of €850 million.
This milestone marks growth of 325% since 2020 and highlights CR7's constant ability to reinvent himself and consolidate his position as one of the world's most valuable personal brands. At the age of 40, Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged as a phenomenon who transcends sport, taking on the roles of athlete, sponsor, influencer and investor.
The IPAM study, based on the Sports Reputation Index, a methodology developed by IPAM, highlights that the value of the CR7 brand is the result of a combination of 28 variables spread over six dimensions: revenue, media, social networks, palmarès, social influence and impact. Since 2011, when the brand value was €24.5 million, Ronaldo's sporting performance and extra-sporting visibility have driven exponential growth to €850 million by 2025.
In terms of revenue, Cristiano Ronaldo currently earns €200 million a year at Al Nassr and €150 million in advertising contracts with global brands such as Nike, Tag Heuer and Louis Vuitton. On social media, Ronaldo has become the most followed figure in the world, surpassing 1 billion followers. Instagram stands out as the main platform, with 648 million fans.
On the sporting front, Ronaldo has won 31 major trophies, including five Champions Leagues and five Ballon d'Ors. At the same time, the last five years have been marked by a strong growth in his activity as an investor, with stakes in sectors such as hotels, fashion and health.
Daniel Sá, executive director of IPAM and responsible for the study, said: “Cristiano Ronaldo is much more than a footballer; he is a global brand that reflects excellence, innovation and impact in various areas of public life. His market value is a reflection of his sporting, media and commercial relevance, which transcends generations.”
The report highlights the main factors that have contributed to this impressive growth, such as the 308% increase in salaries, 435% increase in sponsorship revenue and 280% increase in social media followers since 2020. The number of games has increased by 51% and goals by 60% in the same period.
CR7's brand value is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, driven by the renewal of his contract with Al Nassr, his possible participation in the 2026 World Cup and his progress in different areas of activity. As an athlete, sponsor, influencer and investor, Cristiano Ronaldo remains an unprecedented global icon, whose relevance goes far beyond the pitch.
